DICTA Synopsis Builder

Synopsis Builder aligns two or more versions of the same text (of any length), highlighting differences between versions and matching up parallel words, including variant spellings and synonyms.

In the Synopsis Builder tab, files can be uploaded in either text (.txt), Word (.doc/.docx), or CollateX*.json format. Simply upload your text files by selecting the Upload File or drag-and-drop the files. Once you have selected your files, press "Start".

You will be asked to enter your email address and choose display options.

Include Outlier Files: Allows you to include in the process files that do not match the rest of the files, or remove them and continue only with the matching files.
Include Synopsis in File: Allows adding the "snake view" file together with the full synopsis, which displays all the matches between the versions.
Group Words: Combine words with similar context into a single cell.
Snake Rows: In the Snake Rows tab, users can arrange the results returned from the Synopsis builder. The Excel file with the results can be uploaded or dragged and dropped. Once the file is uploaded, choose the following parameters: number of columns in the file, number of blank rows between each line and the number of rows per printed page.
Once the process is complete, an email will be sent with the Synopsis results.

The tool is available in desktop mode only.
