Omeka Classic is a web publishing platform for sharing digital collections. While it was not developed with scholarly digital editions in mind, a community of users has developed plugins that can manage and display digital scholarly editions following the XML-TEI standard.

Omeka Classic is a web publishing platform designed for sharing digital collections and creating media-rich online exhibits.

It has been adapted for scholarly digital editions, integrating tools for various steps of the edition process, such as transcription, encoding, and publishing. These functionalities are facilitated by extensions (or plugins), maintained either by the Omeka team (official plugins) or by its community (unofficial plugins).
